Its early, and….
Its time for some Friday Smiles
My smiles this week have been centred on my son who celebrated his 21st birthday birthday on Tuesday. I know i’m biased but i reckon he is the funniest, kindest, caring and sensitive son in the whole world. You can see the cake i made him in the previous post
but i’d like to offer you all a slice of it too
One of my guinea pigs has just had her babies! they must have been born overnight. I can see three of them altogether and they are mega cute.
and finally i have to share this with you all as it made me smile
Have a great week with tons more smiles and dont forget to pop in to see whats made others smile this week over at Annie’s wonderful blog
Hooray its here, we made it to week 208
Happy 4th Birthday fellow WOYWWers
I am so pleased to be part of this great blog hop / nosying around / desk snooping fun. But while so many of you have been doing this for four years i only joined at week 192 so i’m a mere baby. You are right Julia it is about friendship and i have met (sadly only virtually) some lovely people doing this and i look forward to connecting with them every Wednesday.
So, i want to say a humungously huge **THANK YOU** to the wonderful Julia for putting up with me for those 16 weeks, and for the rest of you for four years. The woman deserves a medal.
My workdesk this week has had my laptop on it – yes i know it should have been on my lap but i like to be a rebel – because, I’ve been writing up my memoirs.
Now, dont laugh!
I can hear you all thinking has she become a famous celeb or something but no, im just writing down my life or at least the most interesting parts for the benefit of my son and his heirs so they have something to look back on in years to come.
I’ve been spurred on mainly because my darling son Sam, was 21 yesterday. We had a lovely day and i even made him a cake too
Well im definitely joining in with the ATC swap, i wonder who i will get to swap with, its so exciting.
Here’s to the next 4 years if Julia can stand it.
If you are new here then check this out
to see what im on about and begin year 5 off with a bang
P.S forgot to say i have a few spare ATC’s if anyone wants to swap?
Now first of all let me apologise for my entry to this happy weekly blog hop last week. It is meant to make people smile but mine apparently made everyone who viewed it scream and run for the hills as they didnt like my expression dolls. Fear not people they will not return. To be honest some of them began giving me the willys after a while so i know where you’re coming from.
Anyway for this weeks entry I am sharing a couple of photos with you that are very precious and totally priceless to me. I have begun writing up my memories and some of my family history notes for my son and future generations in the hope they wont have the struggle ive had to find things out about the past. I’m really enjoying writing it and one day if you are interested i may blog about it.
|My lovely nan Lillian with me as a baby – i think im about to bawl my head off
|My mum and dad with me at my Christening
I’ll leave you with a short story. My hubby, a keen radio collector and restorer had lost a small piece of metal from one of his old radios he had been cleaning the other day. We searched high and low for it including emptying out the hoover bag. Where did we find it? attached to the magnet on Meg’s collar. That cat does get into mischief.
Have yourselves a wonderful smiley week and dont forget to pop over to Annies lovely blog
and get yourself some more smiles.
A short post from me this week as there’s lots going on and im off to work very soon (BOO)
Im looking forward to Week 208, i’ve never taken part before.
What am i on about?
My desk this week contains Happy Mail! *squeals loudly and frightens the animals*
This parcel arrived all the way from Australia no less. It was from my husbands cousin who i am very good friends with
inside it was a lovely wrapped parcel, and its not even my birthday or Christmas, arent i lucky?
Inside that was a copy of her book of family stories and her fascinating life both in the UK and Australia where she emigrated to as a child.
She has inspired me to write down my life stories and family history to pass onto my son later on.
Have a good week and dont forget to stop by The Stamping Ground
and snoop around lots more tidy/untidy/exciting/messy/crafty desks.
