I’ve been collecting postcards for a few years now and I specialise in ones sent during what is known as ‘The Golden Years’ of postcards, the Edwardian era. Although the Edwardian period is actually 1901-1911, I collect anywhere from 1901 – 1920.
They have to have been sent to someone with a postmark and the handwriting must be as legible as possible as occasionally I will have a go at researching them to see what I can find out about the sender and recipient
I mainly buy them from boot fairs that we go to but I have bought a fair few from a wonderful online shop run by a lovely lady who is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about all things postcard related. Their service is second to none with super speedy delivery and free postage to boot. I’ll add a link to her site here Old Postcards
I hope you enjoy looking through my collection and if you have any queries or recognise a name from any of the cards then please feel free to contact me
