Friday Smiles – Week 314

I don’t know why but there’s something about Spring that lures me back to taking part in Friday Smiles again.

I apologise for my very long absence and tardiness in joining in the fun. How are you all? All well I hope and feeling the joys of the season?

I love Annie’s flowers and have a few of my own this year.

grape hyacinth
cherry tree in full blossom
purple toadflax

Its such a nice day today too, we are hoping to have a BBQ this afternoon, our second of the year! Yes we may sound mad but we love BBQ’s Just sitting round the fire, cooking delicious food, chatting and listening to the music we love. You cant beat it!

Well I look forward to visiting you all again later on

Have a great week with many smiles.

  1. Wonderful to see all those flowers. Seeing the violets/pansies (don’t know what they are called) I was inspired to buy some myself.
I can understand your views on BBQ. We have a terrace with a BBQ and even when it is not such great weather, I ask hubby to cook something on it and then eat it inside.
Sorry I’m late. Have a great weekend,

  2. I am running SO late this Friday, Gill, but it was wonderful to see you joining in at Friday Smiles again. You have some truly awesome flowers and plants growing in your garden. I can see why you like spring. Those grape hyacinths are different from my hyacinths. I was impressed by yours. And I LOVE the cherry tree in bloom, too.

I hope you had a great Friday and have a beautiful weekend, too.

  3. I understand how you feel about Spring, it’s like a new start as all the plants start to come back to life and all the baby animals start to appear. Yes it’s a good time to start something new or restart an old an old project. Beautiful photographs too. Have a lovely weekend, Angela xXx

  4. It is lovely to see all your flowers. I am quite nostalgic for the spring flowers in UK, even though we do have some lovely ones here in Spain too. I was excessively pleased to get a daffodil to flower in a pot here this year!
I hope you enjoy your barbecue tomorrow.

  5. It’s so lovely to see you joining in again. I think Spring works it’s magic on so many of us after the dull days of Winter. I hope you enjoy your BBQ later.
