Christmas reading TBR

So, once again Christmas is steaming its way towards us at 100 mph and on one hand I cant wait for it to arrive. All the fun, family, food and festivity, its my fav time of the year by far.

Here is my Christmas 2016 reading TBR! *all the cheers*

Now i never do TBR’s normally because i’m a mood reader and i’ll read whatever I fancy, when i fancy which makes having one pointless coz i’d just be fibbing (bad)

But, I have here smallish books, some fiction, some non fiction and all of them do able.

You’ll notice that there is one book thats not actually festive (as far as i’m aware anyway, not having read it yet) but its one i just can’t wait to get to so it had to go on the list.

Who knows if i’ll stick to it but i’ll be sure to do a Wrap Up at the end of December to let you know.

Anyway here are the books

aren’t they just gorjuss!

The Indisputable Existence of Santa Claus by Dr. Hannah Fry & Dr. Thomas Oleron Evans

2016-11-09-11-58-01  How do you apply game theory to select who should be on your Christmas shopping list ? Can you predict Her Majesty’s Christmas Message? Will calculations show Santa is getting steadily thinner – shimmying up and down chimneys for a whole night – or fatter – as he tucks into a mince pie and a glass of sherry in billions of houses across the world?

Carols from Kings by Alexandra Coghlan

2016-11-09-11-58-29  Take a journey through the fascinating history of carols, from the very first – sung by the angels to the shepherds at Bethlehem – to anecdotes from contemporary King’s choristers. Learn how carols have evolved from pagan songs to become one of our nation’s most sacred treasures. Accompanied by lyrics and music and compiled in conjunction with Radio 4 and King’s College Chapel, Carols From King’s is the official companion for fans of Christmas and carols alike.

The Twelve Days of Dash and Lily by David Levithan & Rachel Cohn

2016-11-09-11-58-40  Dash and Lily have been dating for nearly a year, but when Lily’s beloved grandfather falls ill, the repercussions take their toll on everyone. Even though they are still together, somehow the magic has gone out of their relationship and it’s clear that Lily has fallen out of love with life.

Action must be taken! Dash teams up with Lily’s brother and a host of their friends, who have just twelve days to get Lily’s groove back in time for Christmas.

What Light by Jay Asher

2016-11-09-11-58-51  Sierra’s family runs a Christmas tree farm in Oregon – it’s an idyllic place for a girl to grow up, except that every year they have to pack up and move to California to set up their Christmas tree lot for the season. So Sierra lives two lives: her life in Oregon and her life at Christmas. And leaving one always means missing the other. Until this particular Christmas, when Sierra meets Caleb, and one life begins to eclipse the other. . .

What My Girlfriend Doesn’t Know by Sonya Sones

2016-11-09-11-58-12  Picking up where “What My Mother Doesn t Know “leaves off, this is the story of what happens next told from the perspective of Murphy, Sophie s new boyfriend.” “And even though Murphy s thrilled to be with Sophie, the consequences of their relationship and the temptations outside of it force him to consider everything he knows about love. Told in free verse and brimming with authenticity, this novel provides unique insight into the mind of a young man.”

I’m so looking forward to reading all of them and feeling really festive.

What books are you reading this yuletide season?
