About the book

The back of the book
says it all really

How much do i love this book! It is both an easy read and a very hard read. Easy, because of Eve’s beautiful writing, full of feeling and minutely detailed descriptions. She really gets into the mindest of the teenager which really sucked me in to the story, and hard, because of the moving nature of the story, its not a comfortable read thats for sure in fact it had me in tears on a couple of occasions.

Both Jess & Kez have hard lives which some of the other characters have no idea about. Their stories are not as straightforward as they appear to others including some of the adults in the story who i found quite repellent.  I wanted to just give both girls a huge hug.  I used to work in a school with children who had problems and having read this its made me see that nothing is ever black and white and no one is totally bad. There is very little humour but when it comes its a welcome relief and lifts the mood slightly.

Its aimed at the teen market but is a MUST read for all ages. This book needs to be in schools everywhere and soon.

it’s a fantastic debut novel and i am so looking forward to her next one in 2016.
